Conduct a Book Drive
Books of all sorts (with the exception of old text books) are a welcome donation at Bridgerland Literacy. If you have a group looking for a service project, consider organizing a book drive in your neighborhood, school, or office.
Books are used by the program in a number of ways.
1. Books suitable for new readers are added to the Bridgerland Literacy library.
2. New children's books are distributed through Sub-for Santa.
3. Special interest books are used as rewards to mark student accomplishments.
4. Books otherwise unusable are sold at the annual Bridgerland Literacy garage sale. Funds derived from this sale are used to purchase teaching materials for use by Bridgerland Literacy students and tutors.
If you would like to organize a book drive, please call the office at 716-9141 to coordinate your efforts with the staff.
Thanks!
